{"id":24992,"date":"2021-10-11T16:40:04","date_gmt":"2021-10-11T16:40:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ritukhurana.com\/test\/?p=24992"},"modified":"2021-10-11T16:40:04","modified_gmt":"2021-10-11T16:40:04","slug":"impact-of-jyotish-in-vastushastra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ritukhurana.com\/demo2\/impact-of-jyotish-in-vastushastra\/","title":{"rendered":"Impact of Jyotish in VastuShastra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vastu relates to the Vedas or the Scriptureswhich are said to <em>\u2018Apourusheya\u2019<\/em> or that which cannot be dated it is well known by the term <em>\u2018Sthapatya Veda\u2019<\/em> or the science of Architecture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <em>\u2018BrihatSamhita of Varamihira\u2019<\/em> in the chapter \u2018On house-building\u2019 says: \u201cI will now explain for the happiness of the astronomers and astrologers that has come down from Brahma through a steady line of intellectuals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Science of Vastu takes into the fundamental principles considering the energies radiating from the four major directions and four minor directions, which helps to understand the orientation of the building or any other structure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These directions help to create a layout of the site.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The classical text like <em>\u2018Manasara\u2019<\/em> and <em>\u2018Mayamata\u2019<\/em> delineate methods of orienting the building with the help of a Gnomon, which in Sanskrit famously known as <em>\u2018Shankhu\u2019<\/em><\/li>\n<li>In today modern era we use magnetic compass to check the direction without much effort of fixing the Shankhu.<\/li>\n<li>Once the directions are fixed, <em>Mandala<\/em> is created, construction to the foundation took place, walls around the compound or boundary, and they are exactly in the line with orientation.Shastra helps in creating a congenial setting or a place to live or of work which further goes to cleaning and planning made on the ground.<\/li>\n<li>The classical works in VastuShastra very clearly recommend that offerings should be made to the various deities. Beginning with Brahma who is assigned the centre of the <em>Nabhi Chakra<\/em> or portion of the site.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of height,length, breadth, width or circumference, along plumb lines of thickness and inter space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sages also speak about certain lines running across a site crossing the <em>Brahmasthara<\/em>. Space is the geometric expression and time is the mathematical expression of the universe.Space is responsible for structure and the time is answerable for event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the ancient treatise of Architecture <em>SamarangnaSutradhara<\/em> of <em>Bhojadeva<\/em>(Chapter 26 titled \u2018About Income and expenditure\u2019), the lesson shares about the use of auspicious time to give fruitful and miraculous results in the construction of the place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Various other Scriptures explain about choosing the best <em>Muhurta<\/em> of two <em>ghatis<\/em>for approximate 48 minutes. When planets are aligned in a particular combination to create certain vibration of promises (yoga), it involves study of suitability of moments for particular actionfor anindividual; importance is given to the royal planets like the Sun, Moon and their positions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>VastuShastra<\/em> and <em>Jyotish<\/em>combine together to give beneficial results. It reduces the impact of malefic planetson theVastu of structure. The magnetic forces, developed by Synchronising time with land and material, will ensure well-being of the owner and protect him from all deformities.In scriptures of Manasara,evaluates the merits and demerits with following <em>sloka<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>YatraDoshaGunadhikagunaamVaanamyam<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>TatraDosha Na Vidhyate<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>TeshamadhikagunaamVaanamyam<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>SarvadoshakaramBhavet<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It means ,when the merit is more than the demerit, there is no defect in it, but if the demerit is more than the merit, it would be all defective.Vasturectification and <em>muhurta<\/em> selection will give grandeur effects. <em>\u2018SamaranganaSutradhara<\/em>\u2019 is a remarkable legacy of King Bhoja.His work deals with house planning, town planning and temple architecture. For instance, correct selecting the <em>Muhurta<\/em>reduces the impact of malefic forces. The magnetic forceis developed by synchronising time with space and substance. It will ensure well-being of the owner and protect him from evil eyeand misfortune.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jyotish helps to pick up the most auspicious time for all the activities which go step by step for the structure of the building in <em>\u2018Devalaya\u2019 as<\/em> well as<em>\u2018Manushalaya\u2019<\/em>.
