They are known as <em>Upangas<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V\u0101stuis a study of Indian origin, which is untouched and unharmed from any external influences. Precisely, great <strong><em>Panchataras \u2013Jyotish,V<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u0101<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>stu, Vedant<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u0101<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>, Yoga <\/em><\/strong><em>and <strong>Ayurveda<\/strong><\/em>have all emanated out of vedas and its auxiliaries.These studies are inter-related and inter-dependent. There are similar studies prevalent in other countries by different names. In China,<em>Fengshui<\/em>is a renowned allied science and in Germany, it is known by<em>Bou Biology<\/em>. The Indian V\u0101stu is a unique amalgamation of knowledge from the V<em>edas<\/em>,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vedic philosophy, religion, design and instinct. The aim of Vedic V\u0101stu is to create harmony with nature and the laws of the cosmos. Through this creation,<em>Prakriti<\/em> (Nature) and Puru\u00e7 (human) become as close as possible. This is the reason why V\u0101stu helps tobring peace and tranquility in a human\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V\u0101stu is a holistic science which encompasses the entire field of manifestationof incidents and events and further, can change one\u2019s cosmic path which may lead to security, stability and success.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The traditional Vedic V\u0101stu is evolved through penance of the eighteen divine maharishis.The Great Seers and maharishi such as RishiBhrigu, Atri, Vishakarma, Maya Matanga,Kashya and Vasishtha are the founders of this ancient science. V\u0101stu is an age-oldsubject which is scattered in various traditional texts. In the beginning, we understand V\u0101stu as <em>\u2018Ghata -Ghatana \u2013Ghatakash\u2019<\/em>, just as in astrology, where we acknowledge the significance of <em>\u2018Desha-kala-Patra\u2019<\/em>.In Jain philosophy, many <em>aagams<\/em> are devoted to this science.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Origin of V\u0101stu Shastra can be understood by understanding the cosmic form called \u2018<em>Shivalinga kruti<\/em>\u2019.\u2019<em>Shivlingakruti <\/em>is cosmic symbol which showers peace, prosperity and bliss, signified by the words<em>Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25026 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ritukhurana.com\/test\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/a.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ritukhurana.com\/demo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/a.png 550w, https:\/\/www.ritukhurana.com\/demo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/a-300x191.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The matter encompassing energy is \u2018<em>shakti<\/em>\u2019 which is present in the North or the East directions. It is low, light and open which gives us the clarity that the north and the east of a space should be low in ground level,light in gross mass and more open to sky.Whereas, the form of the \u2018<em>shiva<\/em>&#8211; <em>linga<\/em>\u2019 depicts the south and the west, which is high, heavy and less or completely packed.In other word, thisis the sink zone, which should be higher and heavier than the North and the East direction of any space, and should be less open to sky or completely packed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The complete concept of V\u0101stu Shastra can be understood throughthis cosmic symbol of\u2018<em>Shivalinga\u2019,<\/em> where matter explodes into dynamic energy and forces to travel in the \u2018<em>Mandalakar path<\/em>\u2019. It helps us to understand the \u2018Ten Commandments\u2019 in V\u0101stu on which the structure planning is done for building. To achieve resonance with natural law, the first in creating a v\u0101stu structure is to locate a suitable placeon the Earth for it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The chief elements of the site selection are:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Complete orientation of the structure and the shape of the land or site one wants to construct.<\/li>\n<li>Slope of the land needs to be well analysed and adjacent topography.<\/li>\n<li>Observing and understanding the natural elements on the land and nearby.<\/li>\n<li>Examine the roads around the site.<\/li>\n<li>Test the soil condition. How fertile the land is or presence of underground water in the site.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the relation of <em>Pranic<\/em> and <em>Jeevic urga<\/em>.Relation of the structure to the eastern horizon.<\/li>\n<li>Check the existence of human created elements.<\/li>\n<li>Landscape trees and shrubs.<\/li>\n<li>The next consideration for the vastu structure is the <em>Vastu Purusha Mandala<\/em>.To divide the site into <em>Parama Saayika Vastu Mandala<\/em>.Then to build the wall and roof of a building by aligning the structural to thegeometry of the vastu mandala.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">10) An important factor which cannot be ignored in the vastu design is the location of the main entry door, the main for the owners at the front of the structure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Several methods are there to rectify various defect present in a site.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>V<\/strong>\u0101<strong>stu through Svara and Mantra Sastra<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let us proceed to a topic of Rectification of <em>V<\/em><em>\u0101<\/em><em>stu<\/em>through <em>Svara<\/em> and <em>Mantra Sastra<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-25027 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/ritukhurana.com\/test\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"113\" height=\"147\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ritukhurana.com\/demo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/b.jpg 312w, https:\/\/www.ritukhurana.com\/demo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/b-230x300.jpg 230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 113px) 100vw, 113px\" \/>\u2018<em>Sivasvarodaya<\/em>\u2019 is an ancient Sanskrit text of great importance and the only one extent elucidates the science of predicting auspicious and inauspicious result based on the flow of the breathing through one or the other nostril.It was initiallyrevealed by Lord Shiva to his divine consort Parvathi with specific instructions to keep it closely guarded, a secret, which would be revealed only to those who deserve it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Method of knowing the Svara<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018<em>Svaras<\/em>\u2019 are the origin of life, the left nasal passage is called <em>Ida<\/em> and the right nostril is <em>Pingala<\/em> .The middle passage is called <em>Susumna<\/em>. The use of <em>IdaSvara,Pingala svara<\/em> or <em>Susumna svara<\/em> gives flow of energy,rise and fall of pressure in the body.\u00a0 All the Puranas, Smrtis, Vedangas and tantra have originated from <em>Svara<\/em> .This science of <em>Svaradaya<\/em> is superior to all other sciences. Just as one needs a torchlight in order to see the things,this knowledge helps us to proceed towards the path of enlightenment. This knowledge can be used by mankind to rectify their bodily defects and space around them, thus facilitating the study of V\u0101stu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Vastu and Mantras\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Very important extract which focus on how one can rectify, activate or enhance a zone in a structure,to give immense peace and prosperity.These sutras are an extract from the text named as \u2018<em>Sivasvarodaya<\/em>\u2019. The portion below teaches us how to use the <em>bija mantra<\/em> with the correct breathing technique to rectify the elements or the <em>tatvas<\/em> of a space. One who practice the chanting of this <em>bija<\/em> receives a shining body. It is like a half shape. This can be enchanted or meditated which will keep one save from the pain of hunger and thirst. This is the <em>bija aksara<\/em> of the <em>jala<\/em> or water element. It is round in shape and black in color. This <em>bija<\/em> adds the <em>vayu tatva<\/em> and charge the one to action. By chanting the bija mantra one makes the life more stable and at a peace. It can devour any amount of food. It gives blessing of Goddess Laxmi which blesses you with <em>\u2018dhana\u2019<\/em> and <em>\u2018dhanya\u2019<\/em>. It is <em>Hu<\/em><em>\u1e41<\/em><em> bija. <\/em>It is formless and of extra brightness. One who meditates upon this <em>bija aksara<\/em>gains the knowledge of past, present and future also gets siddhis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ideas of five elements can be traced back to the Samkhya philosophy of the eight century B.C. Chanting of these bija mantra helps to rectify directional fault through sound. B<strong>eside this there are several other methods to correct the fault in a site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>CONCLUSION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vastu Shastra is an art of living with the natural flow of energy stream with all its creative virtues. It is the science which controls the life\u2019s event to manifestation, to open up possibilities and options for the resident who lives using this Shastra in their office, home, shop, factory, industries and etc. It gives a desire to live with a mysterious dimension that lies beyond the boundaries of conditioned reality and rationality.
